Career Training & Advancement

This course allows students to mimic real work. The A.I. takes on the role of the supervisor. The title and employer can be customized to the student’s preferences. The A.I. will then give assignments, approve timesheets, answer questions, and grade submitted work. On the flip side, the student can submit timesheets, assignments, and questions. If candidates are not clear on how to prepare application materials and interview for a job, they are encouraged to take the career preparation course first.

Entrepreneurship

This course uses generative A.I. to help students through case studies of entrepreneurship, identifying their “match” to the entrepreneurship career path, generating ideas, creating a business plan, starting a business, growing a business, and managing side hustles. By the end of the course, the student should have a clear plan for earning a living via non-traditional employment as well as an understanding of whether said plan makes sense for them to pursue.

Career Preparation

This course walks students through tailoring resumes, tailoring cover letters, tailoring portfolios, and conducting a mock interview for a specific, desired employment opportunity. It allows A.I. to take on the role of the hiring manager to evaluate each of the materials and assess candidate performance. If enabled, students can use A.I. to create tailored application materials. If candidates are not clear on the specifics of their career plans, they are encouraged to take the career & financial planning course first.

Career & Financial Planning

This course walks through setting goals, crafting career plans, and building financial plans for a specific career path. In this course, students learn about each section before creating each. Goals and plans are saved to the students’ Guided Compass profile for future use or collaborations. If enabled, students may use Generative A.I. to help them craft their career and financial plans. If students are unsure of their career path, they are encouraged to take the career exploration course.

Career Awareness & Exploration

This course walks students through how people can be differentiated, career assessments to understand how they may be differentiated, a range of career paths, and recommended career paths based on their profile. The course uses Generative Artificial Intelligence (G.A.I.) in a conversational style to find personalized insights. Students will select a target career path by the end of the course.

ChatGPT & Generative A.I. 101

This course goes over what generative A.I. is, how it is being used, and how you can use it. Materials are largely from OpenAI, creator of ChatGPT with some interactive examples and some additional context on how it can be used by 3rd party platforms like Guided Compass.
